HAWRR Chapter 285

Light Queen of the End of the World vs. The Space Ability Woman (29)

Lei Ting didn’t expect that, when he used his thunder ability, his powerful lightning power was absorbed by the aura of light, as if it was an invisible black hole, without any reaction whatsoever.

When everyone else rushed over, they saw Lei Tingย franticallyย attacking the golden halo. The figure inside that halo was completely enshrouded in golden light.ย

There was only one person with this ability.

The long and tedious spell was finally done.

Gu Shengyin also awakened from that strange trance.

She opened her eyes, and the people who looked at her noticed that her eyes had turned pure gold.

If they were members of the Holy Light Church from the previous world, they would know that this was a characteristic of the Light God.

“Lei Ting.” Gu Shengyin looked at her lover before smiling faintly. Her current expression was neither sad nor happy, and under the sacred golden light that filled the sky, she looked like an immortal Deity1.

But because of this, Lei Ting began to panic more and more.

Gu Shengyin’s next sentence caused his eyes to widen: “I asked you before and you also gave me your answer. You wished to see the light descend onto Earth once more, and I also desire that.”

In Lei Ting’s mind, he suddenly remembered the conversation that he had with her when Gu Shengyin had wrapped herself around him: “If you were given the chance to change the world back to how it was before, but the price was your life, how would you choose?”

He slid listlessly onto the ground, as if he lost all of his strength.ย

How had he answered her? He said he was willing and that she would understand him.

Then, was this considered retribution? He suddenly covered his face and lightly laughed in deprecation.

Gu Shengyin gave her final words to Lei Ting: “I hope to see you live well and to once again see the world full of sunlight and bright flowers on my behalf.”

She gazed at the gray sky. As if her gaze had a pair of invisible hands, the dark curtain covering the sky was torn apart.

A golden light broke through the obstructions and descended onto the ground.

If you aren’t already doing so, please read this at the original site, tranquil library.com.

Everyone was stunned by this scene. No one had thought that someone was able to do this alone.

However, it was not over yet.

Rain suddenly fell from the sky, and every raindrop became a tiny golden light spot.

Wherever those light spots dropped, everything recovered.

Because there was no light and the land had become bare, green buds emerged at a speed visible to the naked eye and flowers bloomed.

The river was clear again;

The air was fresh again;

Those wandering zombies cried out miserably as they were cleansed by the light spots, finally unwillingly dissipating into floating ashes.

Not knowing who had first initiated, but everyone around Gu Shengyin had begun kneeling one after another.

From the conversation between Lei Ting and her, it was not difficult to figure out to what price Gu Shengyin had to pay for such a change.

Gu Shengyin felt the strength in her body being drained away. She knew that she would be leaving this world very soon.

There was still one more thing that hadn’t been done.

She turned to look at the coffin beside her.

She condensed the last of her powers to the palm of her hand, gently pressed it against the coffin, and a hint of a sigh fluttered from her mouth.

“Since you’ve passed away for so many years, then don’t linger harmfully within the human world.”

The entire coffin melted in the golden light until there was nothing left behind.

Lei Ting, who was sitting on the ground during this entire time, suddenly reacted. He roared at Gu Shengyin: “I regret it…I regret it!”

JMin’s Corner:

There is no medicine for regret. Smh

Lesson of the day: Be careful of what you wish for.

On another note, the villainess in this arc is not so bad.

  1. You could say, the villainess, Zhong Lingyu, is in another league from those braindead self-centred creatures from the previous arcs.

  2. Thanks for the chapter… poor Lei Ting, he must want to kill his past self, but this was really the only option, they would have died soon as well if nothing was done

  3. Or more like… there’s a villainess in this arc,,,? Zhong Lingyu is the closest to one but… I wouldn’t call he villainess per se…. rival, yes but not villainess. Well, she’s still a step behind Eve as my favorite “rival” but yeah, she’s not bad at all. Wish we have more of her type~ (=v =)~

    The knife came out in droves….

    Thank you for the update! ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•

  5. This gave me goosebumps! Like when they all went down on their knees… ;;
    The original soul and the Villainess seemed equally annoying didn’t they? Aside from the fact that she tried to kidnap her off to get raped… I guess that is pretty bad though, lol.

  6. The villainess didn’t look bad, because of the light God halo on GS She was basically hipnotized from the first enconter!!! Kkkkkkkmmmmm

  7. was it even a “villainess” tho? She saw the original one as a white lotus b*tch and the original died during that zombie wave that nobody could predict sooo…. it’s not like she intentionally tried to kill her off?? Idk, the intro of this arc was a mess

  8. Am I bad for feeling that he needs this so he’ll be taught a lesson? I just thought that he was kind of selfish when he answered he would choose to leave and abandon MC for the sake of his wish to make the world return again. Even if it’s for the greater good, it still kinda irks me. Like his love for MC isn’t enough, so he’s willing to abandon her. Idk, guys, I’m just saying. Lei Ting is a poor guy, but not my type, LOL! I like ML’s character in the previous worlds more, though. They wouldn’t have answered like Lei Ting did for sure.

    1. Re: Midstnost,

      Yes, they wouldn’t have chosen to leave. Then the world ends and everyone dies. That would have neen a much happier ending for all life on the planet.

      While the whole “I’ll never leave you” sounds great, it is also very selfish. Sometimes sacrifices are necessary for a better life, a better world. I’m not talking about forcing someone into that situation, but for those times when someone has to put their life on the line to save others, and they step up and make that choice.

      By implying that he was not as good as the other lives he lived because he was not SELFISH enough, it is very disrespectful to all of those people who have chosen to sacrifice themselves to save others, and is especially disrespectful to MC who chose to be the sacrifice for everyone. Granted, it wasn’t as hard of a choice for her as for someone who didn’t know they would have another life, but that doesn’t diminish her noble choice.

      I know this is just a story and there are no true consequences for whatever choices the characters make, but it rubs me the wrong way when people disrespect the heroes who give their everything to save others (no matter how big or small, even someone who hurt themselves saving a kitten from a storm drain is worthy of respect and gratitude for doing what they can to make the world a better place).

      I hope you are never in a position that someone has to make that ultimate sacrifice for you, but if that does happen, please remember them with gratitude and undrerstanding; they could have abandoned you, but they did not.

      That’s my little rant on this subject. Please take care of yourself and thise around you, and live your life to the fullest!

      Bless you all and have a great day!
